The course of The Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN starts at Kapiolani Park and continues alongside the Diamond Head base, offering spectacular views of the ocean as runners round the turning point and return to the finish line at Kapiolani Park.
The event will feature teams consisting of 3 to 5 runners who will compete in a relay race, handing over a sash (ribbon lei) to the next team mate as each member completes the same course.
Runners can sign up individually as well as in teams.
Each lap is only 5 km (roughly 3.1 miles) - a manageable distance even for beginners!
